I’ll remember all the laughter as we go our separate ways, but there’s so much we’re still earning and we cannot be afraid. There’s a world outside our door and nothing’s in our way, but if it’s now what we’re looking for, we’ll meet again someday.
Look for the rainbow in every storm, fly like an angel, good-bye my friend. I know you’re gone, you said you’re gone, but I can still feel you here. ~ Spice Girls – "Goodbye"
It’s weird…you know the end of something great is coming, but you wanna hold on, just for one more second…just so it can hurt a little more. ~ Tonya Timmons
Sometimes you know that later on in your life, a memory will not justify what you’re feeling, and you don’t want the moment to end.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understandings with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints in our heart, and we are never ever the same. ~ Chicken Soup for the Soul
Our memories of yesterday will last a lifetime. We’ll take the best, forget the rest, and someday we’ll find these are the best of times.
Good-byes make you think, they make you realize what you’ve had, what you’ve lost, and what you’ve taken for granted.
The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected. Maybe they always have been and will be. Maybe we’ve lived a thousand lives before this one and in each of them we’ve found each other.
As I stared into your eyes, you asked me why I was about to cry, it’s because I know you were going to say good-bye.
I learned that things change, people change, and it doesn’t mean you forget the past or try to cover it up. It simply means that you move on, and treasure the memories. ~ Alicia Boxler
Good-bye may seem forever. Farewell is like the end, but in my heart’s the memory and there you’ll always be. ~ The Fox ‘n’ the Hound
Nothing you love is lost. Not really. Things, people – they always go away, sooner or later. You can’t hold them, any more that you can hold moonlight. But if they’ve touched you, if they’re inside of you, then they’re still yours. The only things you ever really have are the ones you hold inside your heart.
If you think missing me is hard, then you should try missing you.
I never knew it would be this hard to lose something I never had. ~ The Wonder Years
